In Germany it’s marked by parades.  In Belgium it is dancing in the streets.  In Brazil they dance too and call it Carnival.   In northern Italy it’s a food fight with oranges.  In Scandinavia the day is reserved for the serving of a particular sweet pastry.  It’s French expression is known as Mardi Gras and it marks the end of the celebration of Epiphany and the transition to the season of Lent with its tradition of fasting and self denial.  Before we ‘give something up for Lent’ we celebrate and feast on Fat Tuesday.

You’re invited to celebrate with Living Joy and people around the world as we gather for appetizers  from 6:00- 7:30 pm on Tuesday February 13th!
